All it took was one chat on Skype to know that we had to absolutely be part of David and Edlyn’s vow renewal. I don’t know if it was because we were able to relate to their young crazy love that beat the odds and statistics, or if it was because of their warm personalities. We just knew that what they had (have) was special and that we needed to witness and be part of their story. They got married right out of high school and 16 years later they are still choosing each other to spend their good and bad days with. It is so inspiring and refreshing to see a couple that has overcome everything together.

Love is a decision. There is no such thing as falling out of love. I believe “falling out of love” is choosing not to compromise or to care about yourself more than the other. But when you choose to always put the others needs before yours, to overcome obstacles together, to love them more than your pride, to spend your days working together vs against each other, you get to celebrate 16 years of marriage like David and Edlyn. They are a true testament that love is a choice! They schooled the world. God bless you both and we pray that you continue to teach others that true love, real love, unconditional love, is a commitment, a choice, a blessing! We were overcome with emotion when Edlyn walked down the aisle and she, literally, took Davids breath away. The kind of stuff you only read of in novels. You are both so beautiful and your children are so beautiful and are blessed to have two parents that are living proof of what a marriage really is. We are just a bit obsessed with you guys ;-).
