I can’t believe it’s been almost twelve years capturing love stories! With every love story we get the honor of capturing; we fall more in love with love! Our hearts heal just a bit more, and our hope grows a little bit more. It truly is such a blessing to be able to do what we do for a living.

Today we get to share one of our sweet couples who have made our life that much better, Matias and Ilani. We got to hang out with them at New Smyrna Beach for their engagement sessions. It is one of our favorite locations in Central Florida for many reason. Besides the obvious beautiful inlet, we love the walk from the parking lot to the beach. A mile-long bridge, we get to walk, laugh, and chat with our couples.

Just the perfect amount of breeze and scenery to accompany the juicy details of how Ilani and Matias came to be. You see, Ilani had heard of this amazing Matias in high school when a classmate was talking about her dreamy sweet boyfriend, Matias. She knew a guy like Matias was precisely the kind of guy she hoped to be with one day. A kind, sweet, caring, thoughtful, smart gentleman. Her time hadn’t come yet to meet someone like Matias, so she patiently waited for her turn to meet her prince charming.

Along comes prince charming

Years later, while in college, Ilani finally met her kind, sweet, caring, thoughtful, intelligent gentleman. Guess who it turned out to be… Matias! YES, honey! He was single, and Ilani knew she could not let this opportunity pass. Like in the movie Aladdin, Matias was a diamond in the rough. A one-of-a-kind type of man, and snatched him up with her charm and beautiful smile. Fast forward, they’re getting married, and we are going to be the ones to capture it! EEEK!!!

Matias and Ilani, we had such a great time with you guys, and we cannot wait to witness and capture the two of you say your I’do’s this spring at The Royal Crest Room! You guys are so perfect for each other, and we are excited for you both to start this next chapter of your forever together!
