What is meant to be is meant to be. Sometimes you just take a different path to end up exactly where you were supposed to end up. This happy ending was 37 years in the making! Mark and Pam were high school sweet hearts who were very much in love. High school came to an end and they were about to start a new life. Pam was going to school for nursing and Mark had decided to join the service. Mark wanted to get married before leaving for the navy but Pam wasn’t ready and wanted to finish college and start her career first. Their different goals for the future broke them up. Mark went off to join the service. Pam finished nursing school and became an amazing nurse. They both met new people and fell in love and got married. Pam had 3 beautiful children and Mark had 2 beautiful children as well. In 2010 Pam became a widow unexpectedly when her husband died in an accident. Mark was also going through his own set of difficulties in his life. His wife and he had separated and begun the divorce process. During this time Mark reached out to Pam to be a support for her loss and Pam became Marks shoulder to lean on as he went through his divorce. A spark went off and the love that they once felt as teenagers overwhelmed their Hearst again. Fast forward to 2016, their “someday” finally arrived. Mark and Pam got married on January third at the historic Edison Ford Winter Estate with the support of all their friends and family including their 5 children, who we must say, it was hard to believe that they weren’t all siblings because they got along and their chemistry was just absolutely amazing. Just truly a happy ending!
