As a parent all you want is for your children to have more than what you had. You want to leave behind for them a legacy. Something that they can build on to. Something that when they are done, it will be something that their children can build on to too.

Blake and Amy’s wedding is so special to us for so many reasons but the biggest reason is that we were able to witness how the hard honest work trickled from generation to generation. I’m sure the previous generations would be so proud of the legacy they left behind and the traditions that have continued. They’d be proud to know that a piece of land that has been worked for hundreds of years from generation to generation was the background to Blake and Amy’s beautiful wedding.

Our favorite part of Blake and Amy’s wedding was that good old southern country hospitality. We felt so welcomed! The love that Blake and Amy and their families showed us was heartwarming. It was such a perfect day, with perfect weather surrounded by hundreds of people that love and support Blake and Amy very much. With a focus on what matters most… FAMILY! It was clear that they are generations of a village that stuck together to work together to build a life for themselves and their families that they could be proud of and enjoy together!

Blake and Amy, I still remember the day Amy called to tell me that she decided to go with a different photographer . My heart sank but I tried to maintain a graceful state and genuinely tell her we were thankful for the opportunity to hear about her family history and to be considered to be a part of her day , only to be interrupted by a burst of laughter and

“I’m just kidding!!!!”

Good Lord, it was a horrible joke but boy were we so happy she was just kidding! Thank you so much for choosing us to share this day with! Thank you for blessing us with your family’s history and for allowing us to capture the first page to this new chapter in your lives as husband and wife! A new chapter for your family legacy! It was such an honor and we couldn’t be happier for you both to start your lives together. Here are just a few of my favorite moments from your amazing day!
