My first camera was a $500 Olympus camera I bought used from a friend that was upgrading his equipment. Prior to him posting the camera on social media for sale , I had never even thought of photography. I had never shot manual and to be honest I had no idea how to, and I'm not ashamed to say it was very intimidating. But I became hungry! I was hungry to learn and to grow!
After work I would rush home kiss the wife and started reading books. I watched videos, and invested in online workshops that photographers that I admired held. It was slow, it was frustrating but my perseverance paid off and I got better. I'm a hands on learner. I wish I had someone that would have sat down with me one-on-one to walk me through the ins and outs of photography. Someone that would allow me to pick their brain and give me the opportunity to ask questions for the things that I simply couldn't grasp. Well.... that wasn't available so I had to keep reading and keep practicing.
Soon enough I understood why certain things affected pictures certain ways. I began to understand how to manipulate my camera to get the effect I wanted. I started producing pictures that I was proud of and started developing my own style. One thing lead to another and here I am today, a published wedding photographer blessed every single day to be able to do what I love and make an impact in peoples lives.
Photography has been so rewarding to my life, my family and every person we photograph. We've been able to capture moments that people can cherish forever. After all, isn't that what its all about. I want to teach you how to use the tools you have to capture beautiful images.
In addition to one-on-one mentoring sessions, I will also be offering group mentoring sessions and hourly tutorial sessions (you may need more than one session to learn everything you want to learn) .
The topics covered will include but not be limited to the following:
• High level introduction to camera settings (yes you will shoot manual! )
• How to shoot in different lighting (flat light, harsh light, backlight)
• Composition
• Styling
• Learn to cut hours off editing time
• Basic editing overview (using Lightroom)
• 1 retouched Headshot with release form
We are open books and so we encourage you to ask us anything you want! There are no secrets here. And we are happy to show you side by side, what we do to get our consistent images. As you know, we have cute little girls who are not camera shy that are ready to strike a pose on command :-).

Wether you are an aspiring photographer, a photographer looking to go full-time, or an entrepreneur looking to pick up photography skills to improve your presentation of your product or service, a mentoring session is exactly what you need. We live in a generation where a picture literally says a thousand words. Having images that are consistent can make the difference between a purchase or scroll onto the next.
