The Ritz Carlton at Amelia Island Wedding

Oh, where do we begin with these two?! From the moment we met with them over FaceTime for lunch four months ago to talk about their Ritz Carlton Amelia Island wedding, to their engagement session, we knew their big day would be the perfect way to kick off our new season — and it was. Despite a rain-filled forecast in the week leading up to Saturday, they were joyful and optimistic (two of their hallmarks); and even when the call was made to move their reception indoors, and the sporadic microbursts DUMPED RAIN on us during sunset portraits, they stayed so positive and never stopped smiling. We tell people all the time that wedding days rise and fall on the attitude of the woman in the white dress. In the face of curveballs, friends, this wedding was one of our happiest yet.

IT WAS LIKE NATURE COULDN’T HELP BUT SMILE BACK AT A BRIDE WHO SMILED SO BRIGHT

The best part? The ceremony for sure!!!! The sun hung in there for Mike and Adele to have their ceremony outdoors! It was like nature couldn’t help but smile back at a bride who smiled so bright. There was a very special young man in Adele’s life walking her down the aisle, her son Garret. It was such a beautiful sight, Adele with her perfectly rosy cheeks that draws your eyes to her huge beautiful smile, and her son walking so proudly ready to give his mom to Mike, who was standing at the end of the aisle with a smile so big that you inevitably had to smile when looking at him.

FIST PUMP AFTER THE “I DO’S”

Witnessing Adele’s children and Michael’s children so excited for their parents to get married and for their separate families to come together was a gift in its own! Just you wait til you see the fist pump between Michael and his best man, his son, William. Combine that with all the laughs we had all day joking with these two wonderful human beings, it didn’t matter what the weather decided that day, we were capturing magic that day!

Mike and Adele, we love you both so much. Thank you for being something we’ve looked forward to for months . It was everything we’d hoped for… and more. You two are more special than you give yourselves credit for, because you have more goodness in you than most will ever know. We hope you enjoyed your time on the warm beaches of that island far away. If anyone deserves it, it’s you. Here are just a few of our favorite highlights.
