It was a perfect backdrop at the Barn at Hidden Oaks Farm! With stunning florals from none other than In Bloom and the effortless by our favorite planners, Pave Weddings. Today’s couple is extra special. Not because of their amazing personalities but because of their ability to make you feel like a lifelong friend from the moment you meet them. But they’re extra special because the bride is the sister of one of our dear friends, you may know them, The Richards. They are such talented videographers, storytellers, and wonderful human beings. When Madison and Iwan contacted us, we were excited to be a part of their day because three sentences in, we felt like family. We knew serving them would be more rewarding than anything else. It was an honor to have our dear friends trust us with their sister’s wedding.
Spending the afternoon with them and their fur baby for their engagement session was a breath of fresh air. It was a blast from frolicking through the tall weeds on the hills in Clermont to the smooches they shared with their pup. When you’re around Iwan and Madison, you get butterflies from how much they love each other and their chemistry, and feel like we’ve been friends forever.
The Big Day
On the wedding day, when we walked into the room and saw Madison and her huge, gorgeous smile, beautiful eyes, and the excitement she felt when we arrived, it warmed our hearts. It made us feel so good that she was just as excited about sharing her day with us as we were about being a part of it.
A little backstory on Madison and Iwan: when they went on their first date, Iwan forgot his wallet. This could’ve been a legitimate reason for Madison to walk out. Any girl would’ve assumed he was trying to pull a fast one and trying to bail out on the check. But Madison isn’t just any girl. Instead of jumping to assumptions, her humble, beautiful nature just laughed it off and picked up the check and his call the next day. Iwan knew he hadn’t just found a cool girl. He had found his wife. He made every effort to win her heart, and win her heart, he did.
The Vows
My favorite part of the day was during their vows when Madison said that her only regret was that they had not had more time together until now and that she didn’t get to have him in her life sooner. When you finally find a person who’s your home, safety and allows you to feel comfortable in your skin and flaws, forever suddenly doesn’t feel long enough. Our favorite vow was Madison’s vow to love Iwan for the rest of their lives and to search for him every lifetime afterward. It’s beautiful to know you are getting to experience this kind of love.

Thank you for loving on us and for sharing your vows in front of us, which impacted our hearts.
