We are sharing the most heartfelt reaction we have ever seen during a first look as we recap the highlights from Nick + Rachel gorgeous wedding at The Royal Crest Room

We are so excited to share todays wedding with you. It holds such a dear place in our hearts because Nick + Rachel are great friends from our home church. So when Nick told us he was going to pop the questions we were over the moon with excitement. Knowing Nick + Rachel is knowing that they belong together so naturally the next step was for them to become one. But knowing Nick is also knowing that he is an extremely patient person.

When Nick first laid eyes on Rachel it would have been understandable for him to automatically be drawn to her. I mean look at her, she’s stunning. But Nick was different. He was in no rush to just make Rachel his girlfriend. He knew he wanted something more than just a relationship. When he saw Rachel he didn’t just see a girlfriend he saw his future wife. So Nick prayed for months before he asked her out. He prayed that he would be the man she needed and that she would be the one that God had created perfectly for him. After 8 months of friendship and prayers he asked her out.

The patience continued for the next four years. They grew stronger in God and now 4 years later and you are now formally introduced to Mr + Mrs Nicholas Angelakos. Individually they are beautiful souls but now that they are ONE, we cannot wait to see what beautiful new chapters they write together and what the future holds for them.

When they asked us to be a part of their day we just jumped with excitement and our immediate response was “We wouldn’t have it any other way”! We saw how God had worked in their relationship and to be blessed with having the opportunity to be there to capture one of the greatest things God has created , well we were honored.

By far our favorite part of the day was their first look! It was definitely the most heartfelt moment of the day. As Nick heard Rachels dress get closer and closer his smile from ear to ear was contagious. The moment she tapped on his shoulder his eyes filled up with tears and when he turned around he just collapsed into her arms and held her as he cried his little heart out.

After an emotional embrace with an exchange of I love you’s we were on to their magical bride and groom session. By far this has been the best first look in the history of The Hendricks Photography weddings.
