One of the greatest privileges of our life is the fact that we get to meet so many amazing people. Couples that we have so much in common with. One of the hardest things about what we do is that when the wedding day is over, our couples have to start their new lives as husband and wife, and we don’t get to spend as much time together anymore. Chad and Rachel are one of those couples we wish we lived closer to because we would be inseparable. They are such a down-to-earth couple; watching them set goals and cheer each other is heartwarming.
We fell in love with them when we snapped the first frame during their engagement session. From messages to reel sharing to check-ins during Hurricane Ian, we knew we were meant to meet and were called to serve them.
On their big day, it was impossible not to smile when we saw Rachel. Every single moment was filled with so much joy and anticipation for the moment that she would get to see her groom. Even amid such an overwhelming day, Rachel was as cool as a cucumber. All smiles. That has to be our favorite thing about Rachel: her positivity.
Our absolute favorite moment of the day was one that only we and the video team got to see. After their first look, we heard their private exchange of vows. This is a great thing to consider if you are introverted and don’t like to be the center of attention. It allows you to be vulnerable without filtering your words or emotions because you are with your safe person. Your home. Your husband or wife-to-be. We feel so honored to have been able to hear their vows and witness how tender they were with each other in that private moment.
Chad and Rachel, we are so thankful to have been able to capture your day. More importantly, we are so grateful to God that we crossed paths because every moment we spent with you felt like we were friends for years. We are glad for both of you, and we know that you guys will have such a blessed marriage and life together.
