Four years ago we noticed a young lady on the gram. We noticed her because every time that we posted anything she would always be the first to like or comment on it! She told us that when she found her guy that we’d be the ones to capture it. Four years later we received an email from our sweet Kayla. We never forgot her because she continued to follow our journey as she waited for her prince charming. Now we would get the chance to be a part of her journey! She met the one! Handsome, kind and head over heals in love with our sweet Kayla and she with him! This was a moment we had all been waiting for!
Besides the fact that she shares a name with our rainbow baby, we had so much in common which we found out during out three hour lunch date at Panera, while our girls played with her new fur baby. Fun fact, Kayla was homeschooled and used the same curriculum that we use for our girls. We talked about our goals and morals and it literally felt like we could chat all day. I felt like I was chatting with a sister. The only thing I could think of after our chat is I can’t wait to meet the stud that hit the jackpot when he won her heart. And she left with a new nickname, Miss Kayla Gem. This was the nickname our sweet Kylie gave her just so we could know which Kayla we were talking to.
Austin and Kayla’s wedding was so much fun. By far our favorite moment of their day was their first look. There stood the very handsome and nervous but excited Austin waiting for his bride to tap that shoulder. As soon as he turned around, even we felt like that moment happened in slow motion. The huge smile, hug and kiss that followed that shoulder tap even gave us butterflies!
Austin and Kayla, thank you so much for sharing this chapter with us! The day was such utter perfection and we are so glad that Kayla found us on the gram because you added so many laughs and sweet memories to our 2021 and we will always cherish them. Landon feels bad that he didn’t break dance at your reception (old man back) but for our next meet up I’ll be sure to prep him so he can stretch before we see y’all lol. Congratulations again from our entire family. FYI you will for ever be Mr and Mrs Wagner (GEM) .
