We were in line, ready to get on one of our favorite slides at Aquatica, when we had an email hit our inbox, Alisha has signed your contract. We remember we immediately replied wait, wait, wait, we haven’t even had the chance to chat yet. We’ve always agreed that connecting with our couples is a crucial part of the experience. You never know; you may love our work but find my voice obnoxious, lol.

The very next day, we were on Facetime, chatting with David and Alisha. Obviously, it was a connection. We immediately fell in love with their down-to-earth personalities and their humble spirits. Alisha’s laugh and brilliant smile just make you feel like we’ve known each other all our lives and felt like instant besties. From just a few moments we shared on Facetime, we could see that their wedding was just going to be fun but it was going to be a real party!

The first time we met in person

Fast forward to the wedding day. We were so flipping stoked because we were finally getting to meet David and Alisha in person! If our Facetime chats made us feel like we had been friends our entire lives those first HUGS, made us feel like we were family! First off, we were blown away by Alisha when we first saw her. Oh my word, a vision indeed. And then that hug! Such a tiny little lady with such a huge smile and tight hug. We felt like it was a reunion more than a first-time meeting. We were equally welcomed with warmth when we greeted David. That, and instantly an urge to want to dance.

The First Look

Narrowing down favorite moments feels impossible, so we will share a few moments that made us smile from ear to ear with these two. One of our favorite moments was the first look. David stood at the edge of the stairs taking deep breaths as his bride approached behind. It was good that he took in all those deep breaths before turning around because as soon as he did, she took his breath away. There is no doubt that David thought he was looking at the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. Talk about hype-man. If you aren’t hyping your woman like David, you are doing it all wrong and you need to take notes.

It’s about to go down

Remember when we said that the moment we met David, we felt like dancing? David had every guest trying to resist dancing in their seats when he walked down that aisle. It wasn’t just the bride that would have her moment down that aisle. As soon as David walked through those doors, he was dancing. He danced the entire way down the aisle. This man has a God-given gift to walk into a room and make people smile.

It was endearing to see the same man that danced down the aisle, standing at the altar, fall apart in awe of his queen walking down the aisle towards him. It was so heartfelt to see how moved he was to see his wife to be walking towards him. His lip quivered. His vision became blurry from the floods forming in his eyes that eventually breached the eyelid damns into streams down his face. Years from now when they sit with their future children, they won’t have to say a word. Their kids will know from their daddy’s face that this was the best day of his life.

David and Alisha, where do we begin with you two? Your wedding day wasn’t enough time for us. We wish we could spend more time with you because you both fill us with so much joy!
