From the moment we met her we instantly became besties! Her smile, energy and sense of humor had us smitten. Lizz is one of the amazing coordinators at The Royal Crest Room whom we met while working together on Nick and Rachel’s Wedding back in 2016. She quickly became one of our favorite people to work with in the industry! A few months later Lizz emailed us about availability for a wedding. This time, she was the blushing bride! Our Lizzy was going to be a bride. OUR bride! We were so honored and of course we said heck yes! Before we knew it we had a date with Brandon and Lizz on March 10, 2018.
One of our favorite moments from Lizz’s wedding happened as a result of mother nature! You see, when we first spoke with Brandon and Lizz about the details of their wedding they agreed that they did not want to do a first look. We were excited to create a timeline that would align with their dream wedding and the pictures that they had been dreaming about since the moment she said yes. A week before the wedding Lizz, like all of our brides, watched the forecast like a hawk. With the threat of rain, Lizz began to panic. We immediately reassured her that everything would be fine. We drew up a Plan B timeline that included a First Look, since the prediction for rain was in the evening. On the morning of, the forecast still didn’t look promising so Brandon and Lizz gave me a ring and decided not to take their chances and Plan B it was! And goodness gracious, Plan B was magical!!!!
Brandon stood still with Landon. Quiet. In position waiting for the tap on his shoulder. His serious demeanor made way for a smile once he heard Lizz behind him in position. Ready to walk towards him. With a smile that could charm the socks off your feet. She took her first step and soon enough she was right behind him. Ready to tap on his shoulder. It was just them two. This was their moment. Brandon felt the tap. It was time to turn around. It felt like watching a movie in slow motion. Brandon turned around. Saw his gorgeous bride and the inevitable happened. Brandon’s eyes filled with tears and he hugged her. As he hugged her the tears began to roll down his cheeks.
“BABY! You look so beautiful!”
Lizz wiped his tears and said “I love you” with a huge smile on her face. It was so intimate. So perfect. The perfect moment for the perfect couple. After their sweet moment. After the tears and laughs. The hugs and twirls. Brandon looked at us and said ” I’m so happy we did this”. Landon and looked at each other and smiled because our hearts were filled for them. We were honored to have been able to give them this moment!
Brandon and Lizz, thank you guys so much for inviting us along to be a part of this new chapter in your lives. You two are some of the most generous, and humble people that we have been blessed to meet and be able to call friends. We are so excited for you both to start this new adventure we call marriage! And we are super stoked to have such an amazing couple to double date with and create new memories with. Lizz, just an FYI, our girls want you to put a dance party on your calendar while we let the boys bromance as they woodwork! We love you both and enjoyed every single minute we’ve spent with you.
