Paradise Cove Wedding: Derek + Jordan

As she opened her mouth to repeat her vows. She started off strong. Spoke clearly. We never saw it coming. Her eyes began to water. Her bottom lip began to quiver. Her voice started cracking. And before she knew it. Before WE even knew it. The tears started rolling down her perfectly blushed cheeks. You can see as she vowed every promise. Every word. She got more and more emotional. She was vulnerable. It was beautiful. As she struggled to keep it together. The love of her life. Her new protector. Her new partner in crime. Held her hands. He lightly rubbed her hand and looked at her with endearment. And his eyes began to water because he knew she meant every word. She was all in. No plan B. He was it for her and she was it for him!

Derek and Jordan’s wedding day at Paradise Cove was filled with so many amazing moments, its hard to just pick one. One of our favorite moments went unnoticed by everyone. It was immediately after the ceremony. The couple and the bridal party, along with the parents, were gathered off away from the guest. There were hugs and kisses and congratulations being yelled back and forth. I noticed from my peripheral vision, Derek standing in the middle of it all. I could see his groomsmen patting him on the back and hugging him. But it was almost as if he wasn’t there. His eyes were fixed on something. He was zoned out. Not even a blink. I saw his lips give way to a smile and his eyes start to water. I followed his sight to try and figure what he was so focused on and when I did that. On the receiving end of that gaze, was Jordan. Dancing and waving her flowers in the air, celebrating that she is now officially Mrs. Milo. And I knew . I UNDERSTOOD exactly why he was so moved. Why he was so proud. Why he was so honored.

Derek and Jordan, we don’t even have words to begin expressing how blessed we feel to have met you guys back in November 2016 at Mike and Melissa’s wedding. Jordan you were the crazy and funny bridesmaid that had so much energy. At the end of the night you told us you were working on that ring and that you would be in touch soon. We didn’t realize how soon. Derek was shy and we didn’t get to spend much time with him that day. But when we finally did two weeks later when you emailed us telling us he put a ring on it, we knew exactly why you love him so much. And we immediately fell in love with him too! Right away we said yes too and began counting down the days with you. We love you guys so much and are so excited to see the amazing, fun, sailing adventures that lie ahead!
