He stood there in the gazebo in Tanner Hall with his best man to his side. Holding his hands. All eyes on him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. I swear I could hear his heartbeat from across the way. This was it. The music began. With every groomsman and bridesmaid that made their way to the altar, the anticipation built. He was one moment closer . One person closer. I could feel his knees shake through his pants as the flower girl and ring bearer made it to the alter. This was it. The moment had come. The next person he was going to lay his eyes on was his soon to be wife. He tried to compose himself. All eyes were on him. Yet when he caught his first glimpse at Kyla, the world disappeared. His eyes glazed with tears. He took a breath. Looked into her eyes, and smiled. This was it. The moment they had been waiting for.
Ade and Kyla’s day was a perfect reflection of two becoming one. Our favorite part of their day happened during their ceremony, where they took their first communion as husband and wife. An act that Jesus started. It’s not about the bread and wine; it’s about the body and blood of Jesus. It’s not about the ritual or the method; it’s about listening to Jesus and doing what He says. Its beautiful. Their first act as husband and wife was to welcome God into their marriage, and be the center of it. Their commitment to be the husband and wife that God calls them to be. What greater vow than this. It was perfection!
Ade and Kyla. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your family. We enjoyed being a part of your day and being present in a God filled space. From beginning to end, every moment spent with you both was humbling and brought smiles to our face. We are so glad Rod and Jeremy , connected us and we cannot wait to see you fulfill your God given purpose as one. Here are just a few of our favorite moments from your wedding day!
