Oh my word, do we have some gorgeousness for y’all ! We took a drive down to America’s oldest city, St Augustine, Florida for Deborah and Ryan’s engagement session at Castillo de San Marcos. Took it back to the very spot where Ryan asked Deborah to be his wife and she of course said yes! Bring out the red dress honey and lets create a masterpiece.
Deborah and Ryans story is one of our favorites! Just two days after her move from Long Island they met sitting back to back at a restaurant. I remember when I moved to Florida from New York. Exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. A new chapter. I was thirteen years old and was devastated about leaving the only friends and family I had ever known. Took me a while to get adjusted. Maybe more than a while. More like a few years. But then I met Landon and I realized that moving to Florida was the best thing that ever happened in my life.
Knowing people from our table, Ryan’s family went over to introduce themselves and say hello. Didn’t take long for Deborah to notice Ryan. She couldn’t help but strike up conversation with him! Finding out that he was working in the same building she was about to begin working was very exciting. He was planning a lunch for new hires, so being overly courageous she asked to exchange numbers. You know for the “lunch”.
The next day he called her to meet up and the rest was history. Didn’t take long for Deborah to see that Ryan had a heart of gold and she was hooked. They’ve been together ever since! Who knew that all she needed to do was move all the way to Florida to meet another Long Island boy. That’s right! Ryan was originally from Long Island too, but his family moved here when he was little. Six years later, a picnic in one of the most beautiful historic cities of the world, the question of all questions and we have the future Mr. and Mrs. Sheedy.
