Southern Garden Chic Wedding Inspiration on Ruffled Blog

March 16, 2017

If you love Southern Charm, then this Southern Garden Chic Wedding Inspiration shoot featured on Ruffled today will be right up your alley. This is the perfect introduction to this long awaited spring! Here is a chic and elegant wedding that will make you want to get married all over again. Trust me, if there was a way to be two things at once, models for this shoot and photographers, we would have jumped on it!

This is a lush wedding filled with flowers, greenery, touch of gold for the bride with the chic flare and beautiful wood elements for those obsessed with southern living. Lets dive right in and begin with the ceremony. We had Landon, yes thats right Landon Hendrick (he’s more than just my eye candy) build a pergola and filled it with lushes flowers and greenery. With an aisle framed in garland and flowers, the mood was set for a garden goddess to walk down to her groom.

Not to be fancy but I love a look change. Our Bride started with an elegant and romantic braid up do, done by the crazy skilled Angel Cardona, to show off her beautiful lace dress. Our attention was everything garden so of course we had our handsome groom dapper it up with a beautiful floral tie. Every Chic bride should be allowed to have two bouquets if she desires, its allowed its a garden wedding. Perfect one for tossing and one for keepsake.

As we moved into the cocktail hour we wanted to create a romantic setup for the two newlyweds to cozy up and bring the elegance out to the garden. A Chair Affair really blew us away with their insanely beautiful selection of pieces. We selected a chaise lounge and draped it with garlands with a beautiful gold bar stand with gorgeous signature drinks that fit the garden feel with the delicious sweet blackberries.

Our drinks were beautifully accompanied by a beautiful sign that showcases the actual drink and name with beautiful watercolor and calligraphy done by our sweet Cami Monet. Want a sip of the pretty and delicious drink ? You can find the easy recipe for the Blackberry Thyme Signature drink below. One of our favorite features of the south are our gorgeous moss trees. To add some chic to the southern charm we hung beautiful flower filled atriums and a chandelier from our beautiful southern moss trees.

Now if you have a sweet tooth like me, I mean really if I got paid to eat cake I would be filthy rich, you will love our desert swing. Yas this is where my delicious hubby Landon nailed it and made this beautiful table swing from oak wood with live edge to keep everything true to the garden feel. On our dessert swing you will find our beautiful donut tower, delicious gold/watercolored macaroons, the perfect cupcake size miniature naked cakes garnished with beautiful flowers and greenery. We incorporated a beautiful simple wedding cake with flowers and greenery to complete the perfect garden wedding dessert swing.

Even though our moss trees never change color, we don’t mind because they are stunning. We hung the swing off a beautiful tree and covered the rope with beautiful garland and flowers for a stunning effect that looks like the swing is being held up by nature. All of our desserts were beautifully labeled with calligraphy signs.
