The Lake Mary Event Center | Doug + Marissa

June 3, 2019

Do we have a treat for you guys today. Today on the blog we are sharing Doug and Marissa‘s wedding at the Lake Mary Event Center. But let’s rewind it a little bit because we got the chance to sit with them for the first time a little bit over a year ago. When we first met them we immediately thought that they were the perfect match.

We weren’t surprised to find out that the sparks were flying every where after their first date. Doug tried some of his Rico Sauve moves. He decided to take Marissa on Tower of terror hoping to have the opportunity to be her knight in shining armor when, he thought, she was scared. But it turned out he would be the one to need the hero haha. Marissa thought it was so endearing that he was nervous to be on Tower of Terror and that that’s when the sparks flew in between these two.

Over the last year I’ve gotten to know Marissa during our dates to Disney in the middle of the week. She’s had the opportunity to meet our daughters and has really become a part of our little family. Our girls love her and have enjoyed looking over all the images from her wedding. They call her Princess Marissa. She’s made such an impression on our family and we know that she is an amazing human being and is going to be an amazing wife and mother to their future children.

Marissa father. He had been waiting for this day forever. One of the most sentimental moments of their wedding was the father daughter first look. Marissa’s dad seemed to have it all together . Very composed. Right up until he felt his little girl tap him on the shoulder. When he turned around and saw his little girl. It was all waterworks. It was the most heartwarming, sweetest moment I had ever witnessed between a father and daughter. The connection between Marissa and her father was obvious. He wasn’t just her father. He was her first love. He has been the best example of what a man should be and what a husband should be. A roller coaster of memories from the moment that he first held his baby girl to this moment right now. Feeling blessed that he has the opportunity of being able to walk her down the aisle to her future husband.

Doug and Marissa, thank you both so much for sharing this chapter in your lives with us. Meeting you guys has been a blessing. Becoming friends with you guys has been an added bonus. Can’t wait for all the future double dates. All the future roller coaster rides. All the future babies you guys are going to bring into this world, Hallelujah. We love you guys so much and we’re so grateful to have met you and to be able to call you guys friends. We wish you guys the best and we are excited to stand along you and watch you guys go on adventures together as husband and wife. Here are just some of our favorite moments from your wedding day.
