I’m sure that Kira never imagined that being a great daughter would play such a large role in her finding her future husband. Just imagine, a woman has a high school reunion coming up. One that she would have attended with her husband. But she and her daughter knew that wasn’t an option because he had passed when their daughter was just a little girl. The woman’s daughter tells her mom she would like to be her plus one  for her high school reunion. The night arrives, they both enter the room. The woman was excited to reunite with her high school friends and catch up on where life has led them over the years. Her daughter with a smile, maybe feeling a little out of place, but enjoying her moms smile and laugh as she recounts with friends their crazy high school memories.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room was a handsome young man that looked a bit too young to be a high school alumni. With perfect teeth and a pearly smile he stood next to a beautiful woman. That woman was his mom. What a small world. This handsome young man happen to accompany his mom that night as her plus one.

Sounds like the perfect love story huh! One that would be perfect for a movie.

THAT, is exactly how Kai and Kira’s story went!

As the night went on Kira bumped into Kai’s mom, Joan, and after finding out that Kira was a UF graduate like her son , Joan grabbed her by the arm and led her directly to her son , Kai. Kira didn’t know it then, but this sweet gentlemen that she was thrown in front of by a small but very strong Jamaican woman, was her future husband.

Last weekend they got to stand in front of both of their proud moms and become husband and wife! It was such a beautiful day! One that we know Kira’s dad would be very proud of. One thing that we know from the time that we spent with Kai is that he is a man that Kira’s dad would more than happily have handed his daughter over to. He is polite. Charming. Loves Kira. But above all things loves God!

Kai and Kira, meeting you both has been such a blessing to us! Your smiles brighten up an entire room. Your love for each other is one of the sweetest we’ve seen.
